As the holidays are coming up, I think there is no better moment than to go back to the golden years. Dust off those old VH tapes, CDs, and mix tapes, and let yourself be transported into a time of good music and bold narrative choices. On that note, if you have kids, this is the ideal moment to show them what it used to be like; trust me, it's very important. It's time for them to see the world of possibilities we grew up with, so they can too be inspired by all the TV, film, and music classics that defined our generation.

Yes, I know, not everything was pink perfect back then, and yes, we have been through a lot to get to where we are. If you can say something about Millennials, it's that they are resilient, no doubt. However, whenever I think back to my childhood years, the things that shine the brightest are not the difficult ones, but the colorful fun ones. The running around, the afternoons with neighborhood friends, the very toxic-looking candy bags, the flawless animation, the heartwarming sitcoms and, most of all, a memory book filled with experiences that felt very humane. I don’t think taking a second to remember who we used to be is wrong, or a sign that you’re stuck in the past. On the contrary, I believe it is important to stop adulthood seriousness for a second and take a peak bath our childhood selves. Say hi, and remember what brought us here. That is exactly the little push we need to keep going, always striving to make those silly, bold, fun, and cheerful kids proud.
